Mi-8 has been lost on Kamchatka peninsula on 27 November

    On Kamchatka the helicopter Mi-8, belonged to the local airlines "Kamchatskie Avialinii" and operated the ambulance flight enroute Osacha - Elizovo (Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky airport) has been lost on 27 novemver, 2004.

    The last communication between helicopter and ATC dispatcher should be at 04.20 Moscow time on Saturday, but helicopter not communicated at that time or later. On board there were three crew member and two doctors.

    Salvors team defined alfeady the possible location of the helicopter: either in the area of Vilyuchinsky mountain pass or in the area of the close located vulcan "Gorely". The area of the possible incident is located about 70 km from Petropavlovsk-Kamchatskyi, but due to bad wheather it;s impossible to use the other helicopters and the salvors are using now special equipped cars.Back
